This series contains correspondence to and from Charles A. French about his brother Oscar Oliver French's land in Mississippi and letters to Mrs. John B. French about the purchase of rare books from catalogues. It also includes a letter from William Winter received by Mrs. Roy S. Brigance where he defends himself against a slanderous article written in Time magazine. The inclusive dates for this series are September 22, 1911-September 12, 1967 and it is organized by the letter receiver and then in ascending chronological order.
