Types of structures represented include private residences, businesses, schools. churches, federal government buildings, state buildings, county buildings and municipal buildings.

Biographical Note
Leslie Pelham Pitts, son of Pelham C. and Mabel Pitts, was born in Jackson in 1922. He served as a technical sergeant in the 8th Air Force from 1944-1945. He married Sue Wheelock Brent in 1946, and together they had three children. He began his architectural career as a draftsman for Solomon & Keis and R.W. Neaf, and later worked with E.B. Hull and E.L. Malvaney before forming Godfrey, Bassett, Pitts, and Tuminello. He was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Jackson in September 1976, at age 54.
