Scope and Content Note

The James H. Gardner Collection contains business records from various Mississippians. Masonic Letters from the New Hope Lodge. Personal correspondences between several Gardners’. As well as a Civil War letter and a miscellaneous collection of papers, prescriptions, political advertisements and election materials-hand bills. The content is in the form of paper and Photostat.

Biographical Note

James H. Gardner was born on August 3, 1937 to James D. Gardner and Kate H. Clegg in Mathiston, Mississippi. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1958 with a degree in Business and was a member of the Society for the Advancement of Management. He died in Aberdeen in 1995.
