Biographical / Historical
Robert Donald (Donald) Sharp, son of Robert and Mary Sharp, was born in Grenada, MS, in 1898 and raised by his grandparents after his mother died when he was only two years old. His grandfather John Whitfield Sharp was a Civil War veteran and prominent physician. After his military service, Donald Sharp worked as a furniture salesman and a collector for the state of Mississippi. He died in Grenada in 1965, and was survived by his wife Alma Sharp and daughter Donna Jean Sharp.
