Biographical Note

John Robinson Block, publisher and editor-in-chief of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Toledo Blade, has been a journalist and newspaper editor since leaving Yale in 1977, serving in numerous reporting and editing jobs. He is also vice chairman of Block Communications, which has television stateions and cable systems in five states.

Preservation Note

All materials have been enclosed in acid-free archival folders and boxes. Materials of exceptional reserach value have been enclosed in Mylar sleeves. Items framed in non-archival materials have been removed for preservation. Photos have been taken to document these activities.
