Biographical Note

The Dabney law firm is one of the oldest law firms in the state of Mississippi. The Dabneys moved to Mississippi from Virginia.

Donation made by Freddie Rush on the behalf of the Estate of Lucius Bryan Dabney on March 6, 2024.

Preservation Note

Maps are stored flat in oversized unbuffered archival folders. Framed portraits and artifacts have been wrapped in buffered archival paper.

Processing Note

The maps, portraits, and artifacts series was processed by Ben Hillerman, graduate assistant for the Division of Archives and Special Collections, in Spring 2024.
