Scope and Contents
Collection of Joe Frazer, President of the Board of Supervisors, Madison County, Mississippi, first President of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors and President of the Natchez Trace Association. Includes materials concerning negotiations for a proposed tri-county park area as a land utilization project on eroded agricultural lands at the Attala, Leake and Madison County corners area (1935, 1939). 1941 letters concern the cotton allotment and the Mississippi Civilian Defense Plan Sub-Committee and conservation. Miscellaneous ledger pages and newspapers kept by Frazer concern Madison County tax levies, elections, depression conditions and industrialization in Madison County and the Mississippi Board of Supervisors, 1926-1939, 1955 and undated.
