Cleveland Turner Letters
Scope and Content
World War I letters written by Cleveland Turner (1884-1952) of Belzoni, Mississippi, from the 154th Field Hospital, Virton, Belgium, including: "Dad's Day" Christmas letter to his father, James Harvey Turner (1918); French Christmas postcard to his niece, Jeanette Marsh (1918); and letter to his sister Lucile (1919). Cleveland Turner attended Mississippi A&M College in 1904. Subjects include the activities and locations of the unit, the Spanish flu and names of persons who died or are sick, the Armistice and other matters.
