Collected materials documenting the Hashuqua Cotton Factory near Mashulaville, Noxubee County, Mississippi. Collection includes a presumed early photograph of the factory, photographs of factory remains, drawings, copies of John Anderson Tyson's history of the factory, an 1884-1885 World's Fair Exhibition Catalog and other materials.

Historical Note

The Hashuqua Cotton Factory began operating in 1868 under the ownership of several residents of Noxubee and Oktibbeha Counties, was subsequently owned by J.C. Holmes and W.J. Hubbard, and then by W.J. and J.H. Hubbard, until it closed in 1906.
