Scope and Content
The Frank E. Smith TVA Speeches series, 1962-1972, consists of speeches made by Smith while serving as director of TVA and clippings, press releases, brochures, etc. Also included are notes from Smith's secretary re: the speaking engagements and newspapers re TVA's 30th anniversary (5/18/1963). Folder 119 contains a tape recording made by Mr. Smith - ''Thirty-five Years of TVA''. Folders 193 and 194 contain speech material such as TVA background material, basic facts about TVA and TVA newsletters. Books and publications concerning TVA are listed with the general bibliography at the end of the description. Five manuscript¬ boxes not including volumes.
