John C. Stennis papers, Series 045: Pre-Senate

This series contains material from Senator Stennis’ pre-Senate years, arranged chronologically from 1927-1946. The material contains correspondence from constituents, friends, and acquaintances, many sent from soldiers fighting in World War II. It also includes correspondence from Stennis' time as a Circuit Court Judge, grades and correspondence from his studies at the University of Virginia, his work as a member of the MSU Alumni Association, and a scrapbook he maintained as a student at Mississippi A and M.
