Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library Photograph Collection
Scope and Content
This collection consists of original nineteenth century photographs of Ulysses S. Grant, his family, fellow soldiers, and politicians. It also consists of reproductions of photographs, research materials on images of Ulysses S. Grant, and Ulysses S. Grant Association correspondence on the use of particular images in the Papers of Ulysses S. Grant.

Arrangement
This collection is arranged depending on type. Box one contains original nineteenth century materials. These are arranged by type of photograph, i.e. Cartes-de-visite, cabinet cards, stereocards, etc. Boxes 2 and 3 contain the reproductions. These reproductions are arranged alphabetically by subject. Each photograph in the collection has a unique identifying number written on the back of the image.
