Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of thirteen boxes of correspondence, ephemera, photographs, and scrapbooks related to Ulysses S. Grant, Julia Dent Grant, their acquaintances, and family members. It is arranged in three series: Correspondence and Ephemera; Photographs, and Scrapbooks. The first two series have additional Sub-Series that break the material down into specific types which are then arranged either chronologically or alphabetically by topic.

Original illustrated prints drawn by Frank H, Taylor for Harper's Weekly of the Grants's tour of the South, Cuba, and Mexico in the Spring of 1880. Present to Ida Honore Grant on behalf of the family by the artist. Images include scenes of: Dungeness (Cumberland Island, Georgia), the Ocklawaha River in Florida, Carnival in Havana, the Hotel Pasaje and the Palace in Havana, scenes of dancing and the countryside of Cuba, the Grant residence in Mexico, the Gate of Molino del Ray, Chaputlepec, street scenes at Vera Cruz, trains crossing the mountains, Bull riding, and market places in Orizaba.
