Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of fourteen boxes of correspondence, ephemera, photographs, and scrapbooks related to Ulysses S. Grant, Julia Dent Grant, their acquaintances, and family members. It is arranged in five series: Correspondence and Ephemera; Photographs, Scrapbooks, oversized, and Addition I. The first two series have additional Sub-Series that break the material down into specific types which are then arranged either chronologically or alphabetically by topic. Series V: Addition I contains materials donated by Grant family members in 2025. These materials came through the family of USG and JDG's youngest son Jesse R. Grant (Jr.).

Note
This is a photograph of the birthplace of Grant. There is a note on the back in JDG's hand about the home. JDG was confused about this home, however, because this is not the home Grant and she visited.
