Homemakers Council, Cooperative Extension Service (UA83-24)

These files consist of papers, publications, and programs of the Mississippi Home Demonstration Council and the Mississippi Extension Homemakers Council from 1933 to 1981. The records include minutes, enrollment reports, study topics, programs, voting delegates, constitutions, committee reports, general correspondence, histories, newspaper clippings, and various other items.

Of particular interest is the Walthall Home Demonstration Club secretary's record book (1937-1938). The record book includes minutes, programs, records of meetings, and study topics.

There are eight Photographs of County Home Demonstration Councils (1950) and two photographs of a Home Demonstration staff (undated). These photographs are located in the University Archives Cooperative Extension Photograph Collection.
