Scope and Content
This collection includes an assortment of letters, newspaper clippings and personal documents spanning from 1870 to 1916. Most of the collection is focused on the period between 1914-1916. Several of the newspapers, include articles related to Reams’s passing. Some letters are addressed to Richard Hoxie after Ream’s death. Several of the letters have been printed while most are handwritten.

are now at our summer
house, and it would not
be convenient to send you
the work you refer to.
We return to Washington
about the first week of November

I will send you the book.
