This manuscripts collection contains items from the 20th-21st centuries exclusively. The contents of the first series include correspondence between citizens along with letters from past Presidents Hoover, Eisenhower, Reagan, Bush Sr., Bush Jr., and Clinton. Additionally, within the second series, there are ephemera items consisting of poems, an invoice, and a ticket to the dedication of President Lincoln's tomb.

Scope and Content This collection contains a variety of materials broken down into six series, most of which relates to the Abraham Lincoln and the American Civil War. The first, Abraham Lincoln Legal Documents, contains documents penned and/or signed in Lincoln’s hand, including legal proceedings, affidavits, and jury notes. This class contains a variety of textile items relating to Abraham Lincoln or groups associated with Abraham Lincoln. These items include embriodered patches, household items, flags, T-shirts, quilts and blankets, and other mixed textile objects. Additionally, there are original 19th century items such as commemorative ribbons and the quartered piece of Abraham Lincoln's nightshirt.

This class consists of numerous original and reproduction weapons from or relating to the Civil War-era. Types of weapons include knives, bullets, cartridges, and firearms. included are a reproduction of the pistol that John Wilkes Booth used to assassinate Abraham Lincoln and an original Burnside Rifle.
