Account written by Wallace, a Winston County, Mississippi, farmer who joined the Winston Guards at age 16 and travelled with the Confederate Army from Mississippi to Virginia. Included is a list of deaths, discharges, and desertions for the Guards. Collection includes two transcripts, one of which is heavily annotated.

Diary of Wilkins of the 11th Mississippi Infantry Regiment, Company E (Prairie Guards), who enlisted from Brooksville, Mississippi, and was wounded and in prison at the time of the writing of the diary in 1864.
