African-American Marriage License Request Letters

5 letters requesting marriage licenses for Black couples, 1919-1922, and one receipt for digging a grave for an unknown Black person.

The license request letters include ONLY the names of the couples. There are NO specific marriage dates. The marriage licenses themselves are NOT included.
